2. Consider how opposite personalities often are attracted to each other in order to 'complete' themselves.
I think that people who have opposite personalities often attracted to each other because they tend to compete lesser and learn more things from each other.

3. Think about the obvious differences between you and your other team members.
The obvious difference between me and my other team members is that my other member is quite shy and do not like to take risk. Besides, my other member is calm, artistic and supportive. However,  I love to meet new people and challenge myself. Moreover, I tend to neglect my friend’s feelings and sometimes, overconfident.  

4. Ask your closest friends about opposite how personalities in their lives have helped and benefited them.
This will help them broaden their perspectives in life. Besides, this also makes them understand that everyone has different personalities, to maintain a good relationship with someone, we just have to tolerate and respect each other and see each other’s weaknesses as uniqueness.


5.Begin thinking about the so called" weakness" of others as" uniqueness's"
For example,  D/C are people who can lead and like to take control over everything. Besides, D/C are more task-oriented and S/I are people who love to talk and tend to communicate easily with others. Moreover, S/I are people who are more friendly and positive. So when all four of them work together, they will know more about themselves and also this will transform all the weaknesses of each and everyone of them into strengths.

1.Specific. What will the goal accomplish? How and why will it be accomplished?
By having this goal accomplished, I will be able to get into a good university to continue my studies. This goal will be accomplished if I work hard and do my revision and past year papers everyday consistently.

2.Measurable. How will you measure whether or not the goal has been reached. (list at least two indicators)
Grades I get for my exams, semester exams, topical tests and assignments.

3.Achievable. Is it possible? Have others done it successfully? Do you have the necessary knowledge, skills, abilities, and resources to accomplish the goal? Will meeting the goal challenge you without defeating you.
It is possible and I’ve seen others done it successfully. Besides, I also think that I have the necessary knowledge, skills, abilities and resources, I just need to go deeper and brush up my skills to accomplish my goals. I am not sure whether the goal will defeat me in the future, but I will not give up till the very end because it is all worth it.

4.Results-focused. What is the reason, purpose, or benefit of accomplishing the goal? What is the result (not activities leading up to the result) of the goal?
To get into good university and be a successful person.

Be prepared for AS exams during August 2015 and A2 exams during February 2016.

Reflective journal 2


I still remembered last year after SPM, all my friends were talking about college life and most of my friends already planned for their future and know which University they will be going, and I was so blur, not knowing which course to choose. One of my friends explained everything that I should know to me and me myself also did some research and lastly, I decided to choose the Cambridge A Levels Programme. I heard a lot of people recommending Taylor’s College plus Taylor’s College has been my dream school since I was a primary kid. After discussing with my parents, they agreed.

At first, I wanted to take the March classes because I wanted to work and gain more work experiences, thinking that it might help in the future. However, one day, one of the staff called me and said I am one of the students who got the President Award. I was so happy and my mum brought me to Taylor’s college the following day to register. I came in late and that’s why I skipped Orientation and some of the Integration sessions. However, I am still glad that I am able to join the last few sessions of Integration. I learnt about growth mindset and what type of learner I am. Through all these kinds of activities, I realized that I’ve understand myself better.

The subjects I chose is Biology, Chemistry, Psychology and Maths. I’ve always love Biology, that’s why I chose it. Psychology is a new subject for me but I took it since I am going to study Psychology after my A-levels and I am sure it is going to give me an overview of what Psychology is. However, I am not very interested in Chemistry and I struggle a lot in this subject too, but I am willing to work harder in this subject because I know this is a very important subject for my future.

During my MPU modules, I learnt about SMART plans and SWOT goals. And this made me understand that we have to set goals based on our ability. Goals have to be measurable, specific and relevant. With this, I am able to set a goal for my A-level examination and achieve straight A* for my exams.

i) Concept of Growth Mindset


1.Explain the differences between growth and fixed mindset.
A person with fixed mindset would see effort as fruitless, give up easily when meet obstacles, ignore useful criticism and feel threatened by the success of others. Besides, a person with fixed mindset is not willing to change or improve. However, a person with growth mindset embraces challenges, see effort as the path to mastery, learn from criticism. Moreover, a person with growth mindset find lessons and inspirations in the success of others.

2. Recap on the concept of growth mindset and emphasize on bow they may not be good at something, but they can work on it.
When people with growth mindset meet obstacles or not good at something, they are willing to improve themselves by putting more effort in something or seek for advice until they reached their goals. They would not give up easily like people with fixed mindset.
